Leadership & Strategy:

  • Lead the Geospatial Intelligence Unit, ensuring the team’s alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and execute the strategy for geospatial intelligence, ensuring effective integration of geospatial data across departments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data science, engineering, and operations to integrate geospatial data into business processes and decision-making frameworks.

ESRI Enterprise Management & Optimization:

  • Oversee the implementation, configuration, and administration of ESRI Enterprise solutions, ensuring the platform’s optimal performance, security, and scalability.
  • Lead the integration of ESRI Enterprise into the organization’s broader data infrastructure, aligning geospatial workflows with existing systems and business processes.
  • Ensure that ESRI tools (ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, etc.) are effectively utilized for data sharing, collaboration, and visualization across the organization.
  • Manage licensing, user access, and permissions for ESRI platforms, ensuring that stakeholders across departments have the necessary access to geospatial data and tools.
  • Collaborate with IT and other technical teams to troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain ESRI Enterprise infrastructure.

Technological Innovation:

  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in geospatial technologies, including GIS platforms, remote sensing technologies, AI/ML applications in geospatial data, and geospatial data visualization.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve the team’s capabilities and data insights.

Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of geospatial analysts, scientists, and engineers to ensure high performance and career growth.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation within the team.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting:

  • Provide strategic advice and insights to senior leadership on the role of geospatial intelligence in addressing business challenges and opportunities.
  • Budget & Resource Management:

  • Oversee the budgeting and resource allocation for the Geospatial Intelligence Unit, ensuring cost-effective management of the department's resources.
  • Optimize workflows and processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Education / Professional Qualification

The Job

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced certifications in GIS, remote sensing, or geospatial analytics (e.g., GISP, Esri certifications) are preferred

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in geospatial intelligence, geospatial data analysis, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven experience in managing complex geospatial projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Extensive experience in the implementation and management of ESRI Enterprise solutions (ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online).
  • Strong expertise in GIS platforms, remote sensing technologies, spatial data analysis, and geospatial software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Engine, etc.).
  • Experience in integrating geospatial intelligence into operational processes and strategic decision-making.
